Tooth Replacement

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

A Lower Flexi Denture

Flexi dentures

These are a type of partial denture, which are typically constructed of nylon, or other thin thermoplastics, which differ significantly from the thicker, harder acrylic that is often used in normal dentures. This helps make these types of dentures a lot more bendable and flexible, giving rise to their popular name.

As flexible dentures are made up of softer, more comfortable materials, people of all ages often prefer them over regular dentures

Removable Partial Dentures

These usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases, which are connected by metal framework. Removable partial dentures attach to your natural teeth with metal clasps

Complete Dentures /Full Dentures

These are for patients with no natural teeth and in this case the gum, the bony ridge and soft tissues provide support for the denture.

  • Dental Implants are a good option for replacing missing teeth. They can be used to replace teeth individually or as anchors for implant retained bridges.

The implants are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These metal anchors act as tooth root substitutes. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Crowns are then placed on these posts to create a natural looking appearance.
